Eggless Multigrain Chocolate Cake


  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup multigrain flour
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar/jaggery powder
  • 2 tablespoon chocolate powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter 
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon oil or melted butter for greasing the pan
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour for dusting pan
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon coffees if required


  • Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. ( wheat flour, multigrain flour, cocoa/chocolate powder, baking soda, baking powder).
  • Add milk, oil, vanilla essence, brown sugar and coffee and mix well.
  • Mix them well till the sugar/jaggery dissolves. There should be no lumps.
  • Pour the cake batter in the greased and dusted pan. Bake it for 35-40 minutes in a preheated oven @ 180 C.
  • Cut into pieces and serve with some dusted sugar powder or sprinkles.
  • Nutella or Chocolate spread can be used on top of cake for added flavors.
